The story started out with a strong lead into the mystery however, it did have it's flaws as it started to roll along, the characters were pretty typical from some of the other books I have read with the twist being that they were not vampires, or werewolves. I'm pleased however that it did not fall hopelessly into a complete love story as I had so feared when I started reading this and focusing only on that aspect. It did stick to it's guns and move forward with Meliara becoming consumed not only with her quest but much like some heroines out for the good of everyone not just the core of the story. She wanted to save everyone and there are times she realizes that she can not. Though it was fast paced and I believe to have made it a more intriguing story would have been to slow it down and add more detail a little more drama besides getting herself into trouble and kidnapped at every turn and plan she tried to move. It became a little rigorous of her either having to be saved or saving herself at times that some of the feeling was lost. Though it's a decent read and I think the author did well I just expected a little more. The Angel idea is a unique twist on things I do give her that but I'm iffy about more.
