DOUGLAS E. RICHARDS "WIRED" (REVIEW)What I really enjoyed about this book was the man named Desh in charge of finding Kira was a former Special Ops agent with the military stationed in Fort Bragg, NC which is just down the road from Fayetteville, NC where I live. It helped bring the story home for me. This story was well-plotted, and written with the kind of intensity that keeps you rooted until the end. Douglas Richards is a man to watch, I'm sure he will gain much notoriety in the near future. His writing is full of twists and turns that leave you guessing.
In this particular novel Kira is a brilliant scientist suspected of helping the Jihad with links to Al Qaeda with the intent of creating a virus that easily mutates when introduced into a host by consumption of certain foods. Desh is put in charge of finding Kira to bring her in before it's too late only to find himself captured by her instead. What happens from there on out is a whirlwind of action and some unexpected truths about who Kira really is as well as her intentions.
This book is one you will not want to miss out on, especially those that are fans of covert operations and scientific war strategies.
