Verloren is a vampire who has lived a long time. So long that he doesnt want to even know how long and he is unsure where he came from. Content with his mundane life living among the humans everything changes the day Ashley walks into the store... She is human but different then anyone he has ever met. Now he is conflicted should he continue his life the way it was playing by the rules or should he break them all and be happy... finally.
Endlessly is the first book in the series written by C.V. Hunt. When I first looked into the book I was expecting and ready to read another typical vampire novel but to my surprise the plot and characters were quite original. Aside from being another vampire meets human and falls in love story there are also faeries, werewolves, witches and trolls among others and that is both the good and bad thing about the book. I like the fact that the author expanded the types of characters which was very creative but alot of the time when I was reading the book I felt like there were to many characters to focus on at once and I felt bombarded with information. I think that maybe there either should have been less characters or the book should have been longer with more information.
I personally wish that the novel was longer with more character development, the author had a great idea but it left me wanting. I also wish there were less "romance" scenes and more plot development. There were no details to the romance scenes and I felt that the pages could have been better used in providing more history or developing the plot a little better. At times I felt like the story was really really rushed and you were overwhelmed with everything that was going on and at other times it felt like nothing was happening at all.
This book does contain some swearing including the big one. There are also some scenes with a teeny bit of gore but I like the fact that C.V. Hunt didnt sugar coat the fact that they are supernatural creatures and its what they do.
All in all I liked it. It was a quick read and I would most definately like to read the next in the series to find out more about the characters and see what happens next. 3 Ravens.
