"Nearly Departed in Deadwood" by Ann Charles was a real good mystery with some romance. This story was about Violet Parker who was new in town lead a hectic life as a new real estate agent and was also a single parent with twins (Layne and Adelynn). With young girls disappearing from the area, Violet made it her interest to find out who was behind these mysterious disappearances especially since one of the young girls looked similar to her daughter. Along with all of this going on Violet also was having trouble with one of her co-workers (Ray) from work who was making her life misable. Ann Charles was really did a good job with her imagination of putting together these fantastic characters: Natalie, Doc, Wolfgang, her Aunt Zoe, Ray, Mona, Jane, Jeff, Bessie, and Harvey in this novel with some humor, romance, mystery and even some suspense. There is also a little trace of some paranormal ghost that could scare you! The plot will keep you guessing! I found "Nearly Departed in Deadwood" a real page turner and I would recommend this novel to any adult who likes a good mystery read.
