This story is a twist on the old classic. The princess is the frog who is turned human and the reason behind it is outright heroic, She is sent to find what is happening to the fathers, mothers , daughters , sons and even her own father the king. While she's searching for a way to find and help them she is clonked on the head by Jack's Sister Gwendolyn's crown making her have amnesia about who and what she is. They go through this whole story thinking she is a princess who was cursed into being a frog but when it turns around in the end and in a cute way it's really she's a frog who was turned into a human princess. The story is great and one that kept my daughter in rapt attention for the whole read. Which is saying something with a rambunctious six year old like mine. Although now she's in a hurry to get outside and find herself a frog! as she thinks she will have a new best friend. It's delightful funny and out right one of the best little renditions of this age old classic tale. Thank you Debi for allowing me this wonderful and exciting read for the family.
